BELMOND BRITISH PULLMAN
Step on board the Belmond British Pullman, sister train to the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, and you are back in the heyday of great train travel.
From the moment you join us, you are transported to a world of pure indulgence. Take a seat in the vintage carriages that once ran on legendary 1920s services such as the Brighton Belle and Golden Arrow.
Glide through stunning scenery to destinations all over Britain as champagne flows and gourmet cuisine is served. Expect glamour, fun and a dash of adventure on all of our day and weekend excursions to cities, country houses and sporting events.
Honouring George Mortimer Pullman, the father of luxury train travel, our Pullman carriages are the height of train luxury. Each is individually named with a unique story to tell.
Some have been used extensively by the British royal family. Others have carried luminaries including President de Gaulle and Nikita Khrushchev. Two were part of Winston Churchill’s funeral train.
The oldest carriage, Ibis, dates back to 1925. Others, like Audrey and Vera, survived bomb damage during air-raids over London's Victoria Station in 1940.
The Golden Age of Travel
Step back into a more glamorous era on a journey steeped in atmosphere. Experience a magnificent five-course lunch, accompanied by Champagne, as you travel on a circular tour of the British countryside.
A celebration in true 1920s style, these journeys bring the train's history to life before your eyes. For an even more memorable journey, choose from one of our steam-hauled trips.
